June 1, 2026 - IRAN. Morteza Sadeqzadeh executed in Damghan om June 1

Iranian authorities have executed Morteza Sadeqzadeh, a Kurdish prisoner from Saqez.

According to information received by Hengaw, the execution was carried out in the early hours of June 1, 2026, at Damghan Central Prison in Semnan Province. Sadeqzadeh was 25 years old. According to Hengaw’s sources, Sadeqzadeh was arrested by security forces in 2023 on charges related to drug offenses.

The execution has not been announced by Iranian media outlets.
