Hengaw has confirmed the identities of at least ten women killed during recent protests. The victims — Sona Yekta, Mohana Dokoshkani, Setayesh Sousanabadi, Nahayat Rahimi Dashti, Jamileh Shafiei, Hajar Eshaqi, Faeezeh Mostaan, Zahra Azadpour, Fatemeh Abdollahi, and Shokoufeh Abdi — were killed in Kermanshah, Pareh-Sar, Rasht, Arak, Gorgan, Karaj, Tehran, and Isfahan.

With these latest cases, the number of women confirmed killed in the protests has risen to 50.
All ten women were killed on January 8 and 9, 2026, and their identities have since been verified.

According to information obtained by Hengaw, in Isfahan,
- Hajar Eshaqi, a 42-year-old employee in the commercial sector, was shot in the chest by government forces during protests in the Shahrek-e Keshvari neighborhood on January 9. She later died of her injuries. Her body was buried on January 17 at Bagh-e Rezvan Cemetery, under heavy security restrictions. In Arak,
- Jamileh Shafiei, 66, and
- Shokoufeh Abdi, originally from Shazand and residing in Arak, were shot and killed by government forces during demonstrations on the same day. Jamileh Shafiei was fatally wounded by live ammunition on Hepko Street. Shokoufeh Abdi, who worked at a photography studio in Arak, was later buried in her hometown of Shazand. In Karaj,
- Zahra Azadpour, a 27-year-old women’s football player for Mehrgam Pardis, was killed by direct gunfire by government forces during protests on January 9. According to sources, her family located her body after three days of searching, and she was buried in Eslamshahr. In Tehran,
- Fatemeh Abdollahi, 42, was shot twice by government forces on January 9 — once in the heart and once in the leg — and died at the scene.
- Faeezeh Mostaan, 20, was shot in the chest by government forces in the Gohardasht district of Karaj, sustaining fatal injuries on January 8. In Pareh-Sar, in Gilan Province,
- Sona Yekta, a 22-year-old Gilak woman, was killed by direct gunfire by government forces during protests on January 8. In Rasht,
- Setayesh Sousanabadi, a 30-year-old woman from Arak, was shot dead by government forces during demonstrations on January 8. Sources said security agencies imposed strict restrictions on her family, preventing them from holding public mourning ceremonies or publicly announcing her death. In Kermanshah,
- Mohana Dokoshkani, an 18-year-old Kurdish woman, was shot and killed by government forces during protests in the Saadi neighborhood on January 8. She was buried on January 17 at Bagh-e Ferdows Cemetery. In Gorgan,
- Nahayat Rahimi Dashti, 37, was shot in the neck by government forces near the Falakeh-e Kakh area and died from her injuries on January 8.
