SUDAN: TWO MEN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MURDER
June 29, 2009: the High court in Western Equatoria, Sudan, sentenced Kenneth Kaunda, 45, and Wilson Elisa, 56 to death for murder. According to the verdict, Elisa committed the crime in early 2007. This is the first ruling of its kind in the history of Western Equatoria State. Kaunda, who worked for SPLA Intelligence, was behind the death of Jimmy Gibson Doro in June 2008.
