YEMEN: ORDERS TO STOP DEATH SENTENCE OF MINOR

the first lawyer in the Office of the General Attorney in Yemen ordered the execution of Muhammad Tahir Sumom be halted, said Ahmad Al-Qurashi, chairman of Seyaj Organization for Childhood Protection.
“They will investigate about the age of the boy.” Sumom was sentenced to death for murder on June 8, 1999, while he was a minor.
