a convicted Nigerian drug trafficker was beheaded by the sword in the holy city of Mecca, in western Saudi Arabia, the interior ministry said. Shuaib Ali Mohammed, who had previous convictions for drug smuggling, was sentenced to death for trafficking cocaine, the ministry said in a statement quoted by official news agency SPA, without providing further details.
