24 August 2014 :

witnesses said Isis (now known as the Islamic State) militants had stoned a man to death in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, ibtimes.co.uk reported.
The man was sentenced to death by stoning after an IS court found him guilty of the crime of adultery.
The stoning is the first known case of death by stoning by the Islamist terror group in Iraq. Reports of such stonings had emerged in IS-held territory in Syria.
IS's strict interpretation of Islamic law includes punishments such as cutting off the hands of thieves, beheadings and crucifixions.
