Pham Van Dung, 42, was sentenced to death for trafficking opium and heroin under Vietnam's tough anti-drug laws. Pham Van Dung was arrested in the southern province of Ba Ria Vung Tau in 2001 after police found 33 kilograms of opium and 295 grams of heroin in his possession, the officials said.
