August 28, 2025 - IRAN. Mehdi Raoufi executed in Karaj on August 28
According to information obtained by Hengaw, at dawn on August 28, the death sentence of a prisoner named Mehdi Raoufi was carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison of Karaj. He had been sentenced to death for drug related crimes.
As of the time of this report, the execution has not been announced by authorities.
