MALAYSIA: DEATH SENTENCE FOR UNEMPLOYED MAN FOUND GUILTY OF MURDER

the Malaysian High Court sentenced an unemployed man who was found guilty of killing a food trader 11 years ago to death. N. Paramasibam, 32, was found guilty of murdering M. Manimaran, 30, at a house, No.4b Ladang Tumbuh Tanjung Sepat, Kuala Langat, Selangor, at about 11pm on July 23 1997. Judge Datuk Muhamad Ideres Muhamad Rapee, in handing down the sentence, also sentenced Paramasiban to three years' jail for voluntarily causing hurt on another man, M. Sugumar, 31, with a machete at the same time and place.
