A Pakistani man was sentenced to death on February 16, 2026 in Kuwait after being convicted of fatally stabbing his father during a domestic dispute in the Farwaniya Governorate.
The 28-year-old man reportedly entered into a heated argument with his father after he was discovered smoking cigarettes inside the house. The father reprimanded his son and tore up the packet of cigarettes, prompting the individual to seize a pair of scissors and stab his father multiple times in the chest.
The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene, and authorities arrested the suspect shortly after the incident. In its ruling, the court stated that the crime was committed with premeditation and intent, warranting the maximum penalty stipulated under Kuwaiti law.
