five more murder convicts have been sent to the gallows in Sahiwal, Mianwali, Sargodha, Attock and Rawalpindi.Muhammed Sarwar was executed in Sahiwal's Central Jail for killing a woman for honor in 1993.
In the central jail of Mianwali, Khizar Hayat was hanged for killing a youth over a family dispute in 1998.
Another death row inmate, Muhammed Khan, was executed in Sargodha’s District Jail. He had killed a woman and her daughter during a robbery in 1998.
Chan Zeb was hanged at the District Jail in Attock for killing two brothers over a longstanding feud.
Another murder convict, Abdul Rehman, was sent to the gallows in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
Since the de facto ban on capital punishment ended on 17 December 2014, at least 146 people, including twenty-six convicted terrorists, have been executed across the country.
