SOMALIA: PUNTLAND COURT SENTENCES KILLER WIFE AND ACCOMPLICE TO DEATH

A court in Somalia's Puntland state sentenced a killer wife and a man who helped her murder her husband to death in the Gulf of Aden port city of Bossaso, Garowe Online reports.
Iftin Mohamed Osman, 32 and Tamam Hussein Kadid, 28-Ethiopians belonging to Oromia ethnic were convicted of killing Mohamed Bashir Ahmed and then cutting him apart piece by piece in May this year according to the criminal hearings at the first-degree court of Bari region.
The court judge, Bashir Ismael Hobeley who announced the court decision said that the convicted persons murdered Ahmed, cut him into pieces and then embedded his body in sack and proceeded to hide him inside a house where following too overwhelming smell and neighbors report the deceased's body was discovered by the security forces two weeks ago.
"The murdered husband was a laundry worker and he is survived by a daughter and the convicted widow. The criminals used knife and stones to commit this heinous act," added Hobeley.
Also, Bari regional court released another suspect identified as Abdishakur after the court found him "no guilty" of the criminal charges.
