SAUDI ARABIA: TIME RUNNING OUT FOR FOUR INDONESIANS ON DEATH ROW

14 July 2011 :

a high-level task force from Jakarta will visit Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to seek ways to save four Indonesian women workers on death row. Siti Zaenab and Satinah binti Jumadi Ahmad were given the death penalty for murdering their employers in western Saudi Arabia, while Aminah binti Hajibudi and Darmawati binti Taryani were sentenced for killing and mutilating the body of another migrant worker. The task force will appeal to the Saudi government, social activists and religious scholars to act as mediators between the task force and families of the victims.
