PAKISTAN: DEATH ROW CONVICT HANGED AT MULTAN JAIL

20 July 2017 :

A death-row prisoner was hanged at Multan Central Jail early.
As per details, Tariq Iqbal had been convicted for killing a woman during a robbery bid in 2004. His all mercy appeals had been rejected and black warrants had been issued.
A murder case had been registered against him at Makhdoom Rasheed police station in 2004.
The condemned prisoner had met his family last before the execution in the jail.
Before execution strict security measures have been taken to ensure implementation of punishment. The jail administration handed over his body to his family after legal formalities.
