Khwan-on Natthaphon, 27, Was sentenced to death by the High Court after being found guilty of murdering taxi driver Ong Huay Dee. The verdict came some 6 months after the trial started in February.Khwan-on Natthaphon boarded the victim's taxi from Golden Mile Complex to his worksite at Pasir Ris in the early morning of June 15, 2000. During the trial, Khwan-on did not deny hitting the driver's head 3 to 4 times with a heavy object, resulting in his death.
