IRAN. WOMAN SENTENCED TO DEATH BY STONING

A stoning in Iran

17 October 2005 :

it was reported that an Iranian woman found guilty of having an extra-marital affair with an Afghan and being an accomplice in the murder of her husband was sentenced to death by stoning.
The Shargh newspaper identified the woman by her first name of Soghra, and said the killing took place in the Varamin district south of Tehran. The woman's lover, only identified as Ali Reza, was sentenced to death for committing the murder.
