Iran hanged two prisoners, identified as Yaser K., 22, and Mahmoud, 33, in the prison yard in the central city of Isfahan. They were both accused of committing murders in 2006. Yasser K., stabbed his brother in law, while Mahmoud killed a friend in a dispute over money.
A military criminal court in the town of al-Rai in Aleppo’s countryside on May 22, 2024 issued a death sentence against the suspects involved in the assassination of activist Mohammed Abdul Latif (Abu Ghannoum) and his pregnant wife, about a year and a half ago in the city of al-Bab, eastern Aleppo.
