IRAN: THREE MEN EXECUTED

Three men have been hanged in Iran in recent days.
On June 19, two men were hanged in the central city of Isfahan, reported the Iranian daily newspaper Ettelaat.
The men were identified as Siah Khan Sh., convicted of carrying 56 kilograms of opium, and Mohammad N., convicted of distributing 159,500 kilograms of crack and 860 grams of heroin.
One of the men was from the town of Zabul (southeastern Iran) and the other man was an Afghan citizen, according to the report.
One man was hanged on June 18 in Shahr-e Kord prison (western Iran).
According to the state-run Iranian news agency ISNA, a man identified as Ayoub T. convicted of rape was executed in the morning in the central prison of the city. According to the Shahr-e-Kord Prosecutor, Ahmad Bahrami, several other execution cases with the charges of rape and drug-trafficking will be implemented soon.
