IRAN HANGS TWO FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING

Iran hanged two men convicted of drug trafficking in the southern town of Roodan in Hormozgan province, according to the student ISNA news agency. The report identified the men as Zaer H., 30, of Afghanistan, and Majid S., of Iran. Zaer was found guilty of smuggling two kilos of heroin, Majid was convicted of trafficking 44 kilos of opium and 97 kilos of cannabis. The report did not say whether the executions were carried out in public or in prison.
