April 13, 2024 - IRAN. Abuzar Salem executed in Isfahan on April 13
According to a report received by Hengaw, the death sentence of Afghan inmate Abuzar Salem, has been carried out in Isfahan's Dastgerd Central Prison on April 13, 2024.
Salem, 30 years old and from Puli Khumri in Afghanistan, was arrested three years ago for murder. As of this moment, the execution has not been announced to the public by state-affiliated media.
According to statistics from Hengaw, at least 28 Afghan nationals were executed in Iranian prisons in 2023.
