A man was hanged in public in the city of Firuraq, West Azerbaijan, on Thursday, June 11. IHR reported the news on June 19, taking it from the Azarbakhish website. Thew man, whose name was not given, was sentenced to qisas for killing his mother-in-law and brother-in-law. This is the first recorded public execution in Iran in 2020.
