Hands off Cain said in an article published in the "Bankong Post" it was horrified at Thailand's new policy of making an example of drug traffickers by executing them publicly.
"What we feel is wrong here is not the decision to televise the executions but execution itself. The death penalty is a primitive and horrific form of justice.
"Being on (the Biblical) Cain's side doesn't mean forgetting Abel; on the other hand, it means supporting the victims in the most decent and civil manner. Wherever the death penalty is concerned, Cain and his crime are not the only issues at stake. The kind of society we want to be, the kind of humanity we want to have are what we're really deciding.
