Four convicted drug felons, including a former policeman, were sentenced to death in two separate cases before the provincial court.
The death penalty was handed down to Anant Temisak, 49, Poonsuk Sornkla and Sakhon Sornkla in the first case, and on Police Sgt-Maj Banleng Panchakhan, 42, in the second case.
The first three were arrested on March 15 in possession of 1,256,000 methamphetamine pills.
Police Sgt-Maj Banleng, also known as Thanapol or Tawatchai, was arrested on May 19 in Mae Chan district with more than one million speed pills, 40kgs of a chemical substance used for the production of methamphetamines and a 9mm gun.
