the Intermediate People's Court of the city of Hengyang in China's Hunan Province sentenced Zhang Liangcheng to death for forging Chinese currency with a total value of 195 million yuan ($30 million), between 2009 and 2010, the court said in a statement. All Liangcheng's personal property was confiscated and he was deprived of political rights.The court said in their verdict that Zhang's conduct was "extremely grave" and posed extreme harm to society.
