At least 4,040 executions were carried out in 25 Countries and territories in 2015.

Pakistan: at least 326
Saudi Arabia: at least 159
Iraq: at least 30
United States: 28
Somalia: at least 25
Egypt: at least 22
Indonesia: 14
North Korea: at least 13
Chad: 10
Yemen: at least 8

Sudan: 4
Japan: 3
Jordan: 2
Oman: 2
Malaysia: at least 1

In 2015, no executions were reported in 3 Countries – Belarus, Equatorial Guinea and Palestine (Gaza Strip) – that carried out executions in 2014.
On the other hand, 5 countries, which had not carried out executions in 2014, resumed them in 2015: Indonesia (14), Chad (10), Bangladesh (4), Oman (2) and India (1).
It could not be confirmed if judicial executions took place in Syria in 2015.
