VIETNAM. COMPANY DIRECTOR SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR SWINDLING

04 September 2006 :

a Vietnamese court in Hanoi announced a death sentence on director of the Hai Phu Son joint stock company, Pham Duy Luat, on charges of swindling to appropriate land buyers' money. His accomplice Pham Van Hung, head of the company's real estate business department, was jailed for 12 years for the same crime.
