03/10/2023 - Un’amica di Caino, Daniela Fontana (vedi anche NtC 11/02/2020), ci aggiorna sulle modalità per mantenere contatti epistolari con detenuti nel braccio della morte del Texas, con procedure che però, per quanto ci risulta, sono valide anche in diversi altri stati. Inoltre ci segnala il suo pen pal, Guy Allen, che cerca nuovi contatti.

Buongiorno,
potete per favore aiutare questo condannato a morte in Texas a trovare un nuovo pen pal? 
Lo conosco da molti anni, è una persona affidabile e può dare molta amicizia attraverso la corrispondenza.
Sicuramente già saprete che dal 23 Agosto è possibile anche per noi europei aprire gratuitamente un account su Securus per corrispondere on line con i prigionieri del Texas (non so se vale anche per gli altri Stati americani). Securus ha ampliato i propri servizi anche a chi vive oltreoceano come noi.
Comunque si possono mandare anche lettere cartacee, se si preferisce, però impiegano più tempo ad arrivare.

Guy has been a Texas Death Row prisoner for the past 19 1/2 years, and has endured solitary confinement conditions, which are harsh and inhumane. Being housed in a single man cell for 22 hours out of each day, with no contact with other prisoners has instilled in Guy a strong desire to survive, while maintaining his sanity at all cost.
