UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: COURT UPHOLDS DEATH PENALTY

in the United Arab Emirates, Bangladeshi man M.K., 26, unsuccessfully appealed his death sentence for murdering Indian man B.K. in 2005. M.K. was originally sentenced to death by the Sharjah Sharia Court of First Instance for fatally stabbing B.K. after a dispute over a loan.
