UN CONCERNED WITH IRAN HUMAN RIGHTS

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon voiced concern over increased violations of human rights in Iran. In a report to the Human Rights Council, Ban mentioned executions of drug traffickers, stonings, floggings and amputations. Iranian media claimed 66 people were executed in January. The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran says the country executed at least 542 people in 2010.
