two men were sentenced to death by the High Court, in Malaysia, for the murder of a part-time petrol pump attendant four years ago. Judicial Commissioner Choong Siew Khim handed down the sentence on K. Nanda Kumar, 26, and N. Yugaraja, 34, both from Kampung Baru Jelapang, after finding that the prosecution had succeeded in establishing the case beyond reasonable doubt. Nanda Kumar and Yugaraja were charged with murdering Mohammad Khairuddin Mohamed Isa, 42, an employee of the Perak Islamic Religious Department, who had taken a part-time job as a petrol pump attendant. The offence was committed at the Gunung Lang Petronas Station here at 6.58am on Nov 11, 2008. Their lawyer Rajit Singh, when met by reporters outside the court later, said the defense would appeal against the conviction and sentence.(Sources: Bernama, 06/12/2012)
