three prisoners were executed in the Central Prison of Shahr-e-Kord, in Iran. According to the Assistant Head of the Public Prosecutor in the province of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, the three men, who were not identified by name, were convicted of rape. “The convicts kidnapped a young girl in Shahr-e-Kord in the summer of 2009 and raped her”, Mohammad-Reza Zonia said, adding they were between 23 to 24 years old.(Sources: Iran Human Rights, 11/03/2012)
