25 September 2004 :

Three men, including a father and son, were executed for separate murders in southern Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City, state media reported.
A man named Nguyen Van Thong and his wife, two sons, a daughter-in-law and a neighbour were all charged for the murder of four members of another family in Ho Chi Minh City on July 2001, online newspaper VnExpress reported.
The convicts reportedly threw the victims, including two children, to their deaths in Saigon river and robbed assets worth seven million dong (under 500 dollars).
Out of the six arrested in August 2001, the four men were sentenced to death and the two women were given life imprisonment.
One of Thong's sons and the neighbour had been executed earlier in the year. The paper said Thong and his second son had been executed recently but did not specify when.
Another man was executed by firing squad the same day. He had been convicted of murdering his friend over a personal dispute on new year's eve 2002 in Ho Chi Minh city.
