SRI LANKA: THREE ARMY MEN SENTENCED TO DEATH

in Sri Lanka, Colombo High Court judge Jayatilake sentenced three soldiers to death for the abduction, rape and murder. Gamini Saman Uyanage, A. P. Sarathchandra and D. Gamage Kithsiri allegedly murdered Valaudan Pillai Rajini in Kondavil, Jaffna, on or around October 30, 1996. Uyanage and Kithsiri were also indicted for her rape.
