a condemned prisoner in Pakistan was granted a last minute pardon by his brother as he stood in the gallows. Abdul Hafiz Lashari killed his brother Abdul ghani Lashari’s wife Nasreen, Madeeha, the sister of Nasreeen, and two nieces Qayyum Bibi and Atia bibi, in their village Boma Bala on December 9th, 1998. Abdul Ghani Lashari registered the case against his addict brother Abdul Hafiz Lashari who killed the four for refusing to give him money for narcotics. Additional Session Judge Okara awarded Hafiz the death penalty on November 21, 2000. The High Court confirmed the punishment on November 2, 2005 and the Supreme Court rejected the appeal on August 23, 2006.
