the Nigerian Supreme Court affirmed the death sentence passed on three students of Oko Polytechnic, Anambra State, for robbing a woman of N4,000 at gunpoint. Goldie Dibie, Friday Iyamah, Godfrey Ujomu, were said to have committed the offence in 1996. Although they did not kill the victim, the convicts were concurrently found guilty by both the trial court and the Court of Appeal.(Sources: This Day (Nigeria), 12/03/2007)
