labourer Shukor Md Noor, 29, was sentenced to death by Judicial commissioner Mohd Amin Firdaus Abdullah of the Malaysian High Court for trafficking in 23,478g (10 slabs) of ganja at Lorong Perak on July 17, 2003.
Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has demanded in a legal communication to Bangladeshi authorities that the death sentence given to her by a tribunal last year be set aside as “legally void”, and that any further proceedings against her be conducted in compliance with international fair trial standards.
