December 24, 2025 - IRAN. Zahra Khanzadeh and Amir Azizi executed in Mashhad on December 24

According to information received by Hengaw, the executions of Zahra Khanzadeh, a woman, and Amir Azizi were carried out in the early hours of December 24, 2025, at the prison of Vakilabad in Mashhad. Both had been arrested on drug-related charges. 

According to data recorded by the Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (Wncri), with the execution of Zahra Khanzadeh, the number of women executed in Iran in 2025 has reached 64.

News of these executions has not been announced by state media.
