a young man was publicly hanged at a riverside in the Iranian town of Kashan, south of the capital, the country’s state-run news agency reported.
The 26-year-old man, who was identified as Esmail Hashemi, was lashed in public before the death sentence was carried out using a rope which was tied to the arm of a forklift. Hashemi had been accused of rape.
