September 30, 2025 - IRAN. Younes Mardani and Farhad Faraji executed in Isfahan on September 30.
According to information Iran Human Rights obtained on October 13, two men were hanged in Isfahan (Dastgerd) Central Prison on 30 September 2025. Their identities have been established as 25-year-old Younes Mardani (photo) and 27-year-old Farhad Faraji, two cousins from Shahin Shahr in Isfahan. They were arrested for the honour killing of a bus assistant around four years ago.
A source told IHR: “Younes was taking psychiatric medication for the past two years and had attempted to commit suicide twice.”
At the time of writing, their executions have not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
