Two inmates were hanged in Iran, including one in public in Khoy.
A 36-year-old man was publicly hanged in Khoy, in East Azerbaijan Province, according to the state-run IRIB news agency. The state media did not elaborate or identify the victim by name.
Another prisoner was hanged on the same day in central prison of Shiraz, southern Iran. He was also found guilty of murder. There is no news available on the identity of the victim. The execution has not been made public by the state-media.
