Three men were hanged in the prison of Hamedan, western part of Iran, reported the state run news agency ISCA news. All the three were convicted of rape, in two different cases, said the report.
A Sylhet court on May 6, 2025 sentenced three individuals, including the son of the victim, to death for the brutal 2011 murder of veteran lawyer Shamsul Islam Chowdhury. Another accused in the case received a three-year prison sentence.
