28/05/2025 - IRAN. Shahriar Aliabadi executed in Karaj (Ghezel Hesar) on May 28

According to Hengaw, on 28 May, among the executions carried out in Ghezel Hesar prison in Karaj, was that of Shahriar Aliabadi, 27, from Kermanshah, who was arrested three years ago for drug offences. Between 26, 27 and 28 May in the 2 different prisons in Karaj many people were hanged, more than 10, and sources do not fully agree either on the names, dates or prisons. There are two prisons in Karaj: Karaj Central and Karaj - Ghezel Hesar, one in Karaj, the other in the suburbs. Ghezel Hesar is the Iranian prison where most executions are carried out.
