August 20, 2025 - IRAN. Naghi Shahi executed in Tabriz on August 20.

According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was hanged in Tabriz Central Prison on 20 August 2025. His identity has been established as 37-year-old Naghi Shahi, a farmer from a village in Tabriz. He was arrested for a murder that took place during a disagreement over farmland three years ago.

At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
