October 1, 2025 - IRAN. Mohammad Faraji executed in Sanandaj on October 1

According to information received by Hengaw, at dawn on October 1, 2025, 30-year-old Faraji, from Lanjabad village in Marivan district, was executed in Sanandaj Central Prison.

Sources reported that he was arrested four years ago on charges of murdering his uncle during a financial dispute.

Despite repeated appeals by his family and collective efforts by civil activists in Marivan and Sanandaj to halt or postpone the execution, these attempts were unsuccessful, and the sentence was carried out. The execution of Mohammad Faraji remains unacknowledged by Iranian state media.
