a man, identified Meysam (24) was hanged in the prison of Isfahan (central Iran), the government newspaper Iran reported. He was convicted of murder.
A Sylhet court on May 6, 2025 sentenced three individuals, including the son of the victim, to death for the brutal 2011 murder of veteran lawyer Shamsul Islam Chowdhury. Another accused in the case received a three-year prison sentence.
