December 18, 2025 - IRAN. Mahmoud Farahmand and Rasoul Shahi executed in Zanjan on December 18
On the morning of December 18, 2025, Mahmoud Farahmand, 52, and Rasoul Shahi, 48, both residents of Rey County near Tehran, were executed in Zanjan prison after nearly three years on death row in a joint case related to drug trafficking.
Iranian state media have not officially reported the executions.
