August 16, 2025 - IRAN. Jafar Sadeghi executed in Rasht on August 16

The death sentence of Jafar Sadeghi, a 35-year-old Gilak man, was carried out in Rasht Central Prison (Lakan). According to information received by Hengaw, the execution took place at dawn on August 16, 2025. Sources confirmed that Jafar Sadeghi had been arrested four years ago on charges of murder.

The news of his execution has not been announced by state media.
