September 2, 2025 - IRAN. Houman Geravand (Hooman Garavand) executed in Karaj on September 2

According to information obtained by Iran Human Rights, a man was hanged in Ghezel Hesar Prison (Karaj) on 2 September 2025. His identity has been established as Houman Geravand, a 46-year-old Kurdish man from Kouhdasht. He was arrested for possession of 3 kilograms of heroin nine years ago.

At the time of writing, his execution has not been reported by domestic media in Iran.
