June 17, 2026 - IRAN. Fereydoun Varasteh executed in Shirvan on June 17
According to information received by Hengaw, Fereydoun Varasteh, a 40-year-old Turkish man from Shirvan and the father of a six-year-old daughter, was executed in the early hours of June 17, 2026, at Shirvan Central Prison. He had been arrested two years earlier on charges of murder.
The execution was not announced by Iranian state media.
