October 13, 2025 - IRAN. Ebrahim Raisi executed in Minab on October 13
According to information received by Hengaw, at dawn on October 13, 2025, 45-year-old Ebrahim Raisi, a Baloch father of seven from the village of Chahnandeh in Fanuj County, was executed in Minab Central Prison.
The Halvash news outlet, which monitors events in Baluchistan, reported that Raisi had been imprisoned for 16 years before his execution, following his conviction on charges related to drug offenses.
Sources said that judicial authorities had demanded 5 billion tomans (approximately USD 85,000) from Raisi’s family in exchange for halting the execution. Due to severe poverty, the family was unable to pay the amount, despite selling nearly all their belongings in an effort to save his life. Raisi’s wife and one of his daughters had already died in a car accident in 2019, leaving the family in deep distress.
The execution was carried out without prior notice and without informing his relatives.
Iranian state media have not announced the execution.
